Mustafa(pbuh)  Prize in the 5th step; from call for nomination to introduction of nominees

Call for the 5th Mustafa(pbuh)  Prize nomination was released in January 2022 and those interested had the opportunity to participate by August 2022.

The 5th round of Mustafa(pbuh)  Prize started by releasing the call for nomination.

2,678 scientists have been introduced to Mustafa(pbuh)  Prize secretariat.

According to the secretariat’s statistics, the candidates were introduced from Germany, America, Jordan, Afghanistan, Algeria, England, Italy, Iran, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Senegal, Palestine, Kyrgyzstan, Canada, Lebanon, Malaysia, Egypt and India.

In science, information technology and communication, 470 outstanding scientists including 266 ones residing in Islamic countries and 204 non-resident scientists of Islamic countries were found, and after reviewing the scientists and their works, selecting the top 9 candidates and sending their files for international arbitration, the top 3 candidates were introduced to the scientific working group.

Meanwhile, 1500 outstanding scientists were identified in 2 groups of science and nanotechnology and basic sciences and engineering, of which 846 scientists were residents of Islamic countries and 657 ones were non-residents of these countries.

Scientists and their works were reviewed, the top 22 candidates were selected and their files were sent to international arbitration, of which the top 7 candidates were introduced to the scientific working group.

In addition, 640 prominent scientists were identified in the biological and medical science and technology group, of which 178 scientists were residents of Islamic countries and 462 others were non-residents.

Scientists and their works were reviewed and finally the top 12 candidates were selected and their files were sent to international arbitration.

Consequently, the top 4 candidates were introduced to the scientific working group.

Mustafa(pbuh)  Prize has been held four times in 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2021, and the fifth edition will be held in 2023.

The closing ceremony of the 5th round of the Mustafa(pbuh)  Prize will be held in October 2023, at the same time as the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad(pbuh)  and with the presence of officials and scientific figures.
