MSTF Media Reports:

addressing the 5th Mustafa (pbuh) Prize Award Ceremony, Murat Uyasl said that I am deeply honored to receive the Mustafa Prize. First of all, I want to thank the Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation and the selection committee for this great honor.

". Receiving this prize is not only a personal milestone for me but it also became a source of motivation to continue my research with a greater dedication and commitment." he said.

"My research is in the area of wireless communications. We rely on wireless data in our daily life, ranging from entertainment to work and education. The ever-growing demand for wireless data has been putting a tremendous pressure on the radio frequency spectrum. My research challenges the traditional thinking that associates wireless communication with radio frequencies." Professor of New York University Abu Dhabi stressed.

"We have explored how we can efficiently utilize optical bands for wireless transmission. We have pushed the boundaries to make optical wireless communication more efficient and reliable and eventually position it as a key enabler for next generation wireless backhauling and access networks." he expallained.

"I strongly believe that optical wireless technology has the potential to transform telecom industry. With their high capacity and low cost, these connectivity solutions can bridge the digital divide, bringing education, healthcare, and economic opportunities to remote and underserved communities. Our work is not just about transmitting data through light; it's about enabling people to connect with each other, share knowledge, and make the world a more interconnected place." he emphasized.

"In closing, I would like to thank my wife Elif and my son Kaan for their love, support and patience with me over the years while I am focusing on my research. Research is of course not an individual effort. I also want to thank my previous and current graduate students for their hard work which made this achievement possible." she said.

"I share this honor with all those who have been a part of my journey, and I look forward to pushing the boundaries of wireless communications for a brighter future and an interconnected world." he described
