Call for Nomination of 2025 Mustafa(pbuh) Young Scientist Prize announced

The nomination for the first round of Mustafa(pbuh) Young Scientist Prize has been opened .

The first round of Mustafa(pbuh) Young Scientist Prize is to be held in September 2025. Two Prizes, each USD 10,000, are awarded to two young scientists of the Islamic world, under the age of 40, in the field of Life and Medical Science and Technology. Muslim scientists, regardless of their nationality, and scientists residing in the Islamic countries, regardless of their religion, would be eligible to receive the Prize.

The nominees can only be nominated by renowned scientists or accredited scientific institutions including universities and research centers, science and technology associations and centers of excellence, academies, and science and technology parks.

The basis for considering the age of 40, is end of the year of award ceremony. For the first round in 2025, those born in 1986 or later can be nominated.

The Prize for each winner includes Mustafa(pbuh) Young Scientist Medal, the Prize Certificate, and USD 10,000.

The deadline for nomination is August 31, 2024.

In order to appreciate young scientists of the Islamic world and acknowledge their impactful achievements, Mustafa(pbuh) Young Scientist Prize was established as a symbol of scientific excellence for the young elite generation. The first round of this Prize is based on the endowment of Omid Farokhzad, a 2023 Mustafa(pbuh) Prize laureate. The Mustafa(pbuh) Young Scientist Prize is granted biennially to innovative works on the frontiers of science and technology, presented by young scientists, which contribute to the improvement of human life.
