Students share their innovative ideas on “health” at the 19th Science Cafe

The 19th Mustafa(pbuh) Prize Science Cafe, held on May 20, was dedicated to school students.

MSTF Media reports:

The Mustafa(pbuh) Science and Technology Foundation held another Mustafa Prize Science Cafe on May 20, awarding the school student winners.

Chiefly aimed at nurturing the innovative ideas of school students, this event revolved around research, solutions, problem solving, or achievement on the theme of “health”.

From 50 students who had previously submitted works to this event from schools across the country, 15 students were selected.

The selected students were invited to join the exhibition of submitted works to Noor Science Cafe for students.

The students were to submit one-minute scientific videos on the topic of “health” in the website.

At first, an instructor gave a lecture in a cordial atmosphere for the students about “ideation” and the steps that are involved in it. The students learned about how they can turn their ideas into products and participated in the talk.

The process of introducing an idea or product was also discussed step by step.

Next, the students presented the ideas behind their works based on the presented criteria, and the referees commented on their achievements.

Various ideas were presented by the selected students, including sterilized bath for the elderly and disabled people, using herbal materials such as lavender, tea tree oil and cedar as a disinfectant for pets, and a smart stick for the blind.

Other innovative ideas included special blood tests with no injection for children suffering cancer, solving the problem of concentration in autistic students with a game, smart roads to prevent the drivers from falling asleep, and some other ideas.

In this Science cafe, students were also introduced to the most well-known artificial intelligence tools.

In the end, the best students who had a brilliant work on the one hand and who had well presented their works to the judges on the other hand, were honored.
