MSTF Laboratory Network held virtual workshop on Preparative HPLC

A virtual workshop on Preparative HPLC was hosted by MSTF Laboratory Network on September 28-29, 2020.

The two-day online workshop organized by the Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation Laboratory Network, featured instruction by the head of Analytical Laboratory of Medicinal Plants and Drug Research Institute, Shahid Beheshti University.
Alireza Ghasempour, professor of Analytical Chemistry and Natural Compounds, delivered lectures on different aspects of Preparative HPLC during this workshop, which was attended by enthusiasts from different countries.
Covering a comprehensive range of topics on Preparative HPLC, including “the principle of Preparative HPLC and its application,” “sample preparation for Preparative HPLC,” “Preparative HPLC columns,” and “scale-up from analytical to Preparative HPLC,” the workshop offered other opportunities to the participants as well.
Live videos of conducting experiments in the laboratory were presented to the attendees during the virtual workshop.
Special focus was placed on providing the attendees with videos of purification of Glabridin from licorice, enantiomeric separation of mandelic acids, and peptide purification.
The MSTF Laboratory Network has been established by Mustafa Science and Technology Foundation with the aim of presenting laboratory services to the university and industrial researchers around Islamic countries.
