People discuss suspicions, superstitions concerning vaccine

The Mustafa
Science and Technology Foundation (MSTF) held the first Mustafa
Prize Science Café on June 10, 2021. This meeting was held with the presence of people who later joined the discussion.
Ameneh Elikaei, a microbiologist with an expertise in Virology, began the discussion with giving a chronological history of efforts in vaccine development since the ancient times up to the present day.
She then talked about different deadly viruses throughout the history which have propelled scientists to develop vaccines, the first vaccines, and the vaccines in the future, using a plain and clear language.
Answering to a number of misgivings and superstitions about inoculation in general, her speech was followed by a question-answer session with the audience on receiving COVID-19 vaccine.
